As summer begins, we're excited to share all the wonderful events and opportunities for fellowship we have
planned for our church family. We encourage you to join us and bring along friends and family to share in
the joy and community of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church.
Vacation Bible School: June 3-7, 5:30-8:30 PM
Our much-anticipated Vacation Bible School (VBS) is just around the corner! From June 3rd to June 7th, children and volunteers will gather from 5:30 to 8:30 PM for an unforgettable week of learning, fun, and faith.
This year's VBS theme is Breaker Rock Beach, emphasizing Romans 12:2, encouraging our children to be transformed by our God’s truth and not give into the shifting sands of the world! There will be engaging Bible teaching, fun activities, and lots of laughter. It's a wonderful opportunity for kids to grow in their faith and make new friends. We encourage all our church members to invite their friends and neighbors to join us. Let's make this VBS the best one yet!
Faith Family Summer Nights
Summer is a time for coming together, and our Faith Family Summer Nights are the perfect way to do that. We have a fantastic lineup of events where everyone can relax, have fun, and deepen our sense of community.
Tour of the Parks #1: June 13th at Gattman Park, 6 PM
Join us for a fun evening at Gattman Park. Bring your dinner to the park, and lets hang out and fellowship together while our kids play at the Playground and the Splash Pad!
Faith Family Movie Night June 26th, 7 PM at the Church
Grab some snacks from the Students’ Fundraiser Concessions and get ready for a cozy evening at the church as we enjoy a family-friendly movie together. It’s a great way to unwind and spend quality time with the family!
Tour of the Parks #2: June 27th at McFarland Park, 6 PM
We'll gather at McFarland Park for another night of fellowship and fun. Don’t miss out on Family Kickball, where the entire family will compete and we will conclude with Miami Ice! Kickball and Sno-cones always make for a good time!
