Tyler Armstrong

Senior Pastor

Tyler was voted in as the Senior Pastor at Woodward Avenue Baptist in April 2023. He had previously served at churches in northeast Alabama and most recently in Irving, Texas prior to transitioning to Muscle Shoals to serve at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church. Tyler is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a BSE in Secondary Education and History. From there, he went on to graduate from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed his Master of Divinity (MDiv).

During his free time, you will probably find him playing at the park with his boys, at various disc golf courses throughout the Shoals, lifting weights, or running. He is an avid Atlanta Braves fan and Auburn sports fan, as well as enjoying a good cup of coffee.
