Whether you are brand new to church or a longtime churchgoer, we want your experience at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church to be encouraging and exciting. We work hard to provide a friendly and comfortable place for people from all walks of life to love, grow, serve, and reach.

From the time you drive onto our campus you will sense the WABC Family wants nothing more than for your experience to be a meaningful one. We have convenient, reserved parking spaces located to the south and west of our sanctuary. As you walk through the front doors our greeters, ministers, and members will make sure you are welcomed into the Welcome Center and escorted to a life-changing Sunday School class.

The focus of our worship is God. This can be clearly seen in the selection of scripture, music, and prayer in our services. The 10:30 morning worship is led by our Worship Choir, Praise Team, and Worship Pastor and features a mix of contemporary and traditional songs of our faith.

Sunday School classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM. Sunday School classes are the place where the life of our church happens. No matter what season of life you’re in, we believe Sunday School classes help to encourage spiritual growth while deepening relationships with others.

Do I have to wear my “Sunday Best?”

There’s no dress code at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church! While here on Sunday, you may notice that our people aren’t defined by one particular style of dress. From “very casual” to “Sunday Best,” our congregation is a collection of ordinary people that are different ages, coming from different backgrounds, but unified with one purpose – to live life centered in Jesus Christ.

What about childcare?

Childcare is provided every Sunday morning by caring members who teach God’s Word for children from birth to Kindergarten.  Older children can attend Children's Church with other children their same age during morning worship. For more information on our Preschool or Children’s Ministry, call our church office or speak with the Director of our Children’s Ministries.

Where do I park?

There is a tremendous number of parking places available on the Woodward Avenue Baptist Church campus.  Handicap parking is available near every main entrance to our buildings. Guest parking is available in the lot to the west of our sanctuary.

Woodward Avenue Baptist Church is located at 801 Woodward Avenue in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.  You can find a map to our campus under the About Us section of our website.

How do I become a member?

The first step in joining our church is by coming to Starting Point. Starting Point meets on the first Sunday of every month in our lead pastor's office at 9:15am. There you will find out all of the relevant information about our church, our church's history, our church's finances, our church's missional partnerships, and our church covenant.

Following Starting Point, our pastor will reach out to have a follow up conversation about Starting Point and answer any questions you may have.Following this conversation, we will present you before our church body as our newest member.

There are a few ways you can join the church.

·   Trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and following him in believer’s baptism.

·   Moving your membership from another Baptist church.

·   Moving your membership from another evangelical church that practices believer’s baptism.

·   Affirming your commitment to Christ and participating in believer’s baptism by immersion.
