Our Core Values
The ministries of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church
are built on four foundational core values.
Biblical Authority
The Bible reveals the character of the Triune God (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) and provides the authority for understanding, worshiping, and serving Him.
Gospel Community
The church is a gathering of people who know God and reflect His glory. Since it is God’s desire for all nations & generations to worship Him, the local church should reflect the diversity of His Kingdom. Followers of Jesus are to live in relationship with one another by using their gifts to strengthen the body known as the Church.
Kingdom Advancement
It is the responsibility of the local church and each of her members to share the good news of Jesus Christ locally & globally.
Genuine Discipleship
The Holy Spirit leads believers to grow in godliness, reflect Christ to the world through a lifestyle of spiritual discipline, and pass down the faith to future generations.
