Regathering Plans - phase 1

WABC began the first phase of our regathering on Sunday, June 7 th at 10:30 a.m.

During this first phase, we will resume an on-campus Sunday morning only worship service in
our Worship Center. Sunday School classes will be meeting at different times on different days,
and in various locations (including online). Please check with your Sunday School to find out
when and how your class is meeting. There will be no other activities on our campus.

We are taking several safety precautions to facilitate our on-campus regathering including:

The Worship Center has been carefully cleaned to disinfect all surfaces.
There will be a designated entrance to the Worship Center for our senior adults at the East door of the office hallway (by the AEB).

We have closed two pews between each row to allow for social distancing.

While restrooms have been disinfected, we encourage you to limit the use of our bathroom facilities.

All Entry doors have been propped open to limit the touching of handles.

There will be no printed bulletins.

Families will be seated together and everyone will be directed to their seats to limit the number of people in the aisles.

The service will be dismissed by row.

There will be no child-care/children’s church during the first phase of our regathering.  Children are welcome to sit with their family during worship and are not expected to be “perfect.”  Noise from children during worship is expected and welcomed!

In accordance with the orders from the Governor of Alabama, everyone is required to wear a mask when gathered in the Worship Center.

We ask everyone to please refrain from physical contact (handshakes, hugs, etc.).

We understand that it has been a while since you have talked with many in our church family, however, we ask that you please have lengthy conversations outside where it is easier to maintain social distance.

There will be no offering plates passed during the worship service.  Giving stations have been set up in the Foyer and the Senior Adult Entrance.  You may also give online through our app & website.

Please, if you have any concerns, are sick with any illness, have underlying health issues that could put you at risk, have a family member that could be put at risk, or simply feel uneasy about gathering in a group setting during this time, we would ask you to use caution and stay home.

Also, if you are unable or unwilling to abide by these social distancing guidelines we ask that you continue to worship online rather than in person.
